I took a tour around a dishwasher factory and the All I Want For Christmas A Pug Ugly Christmas Sweater of the insides of the dishwashers were made of plastic, the packing was Styrofoam and the outside was yards and yards of plastic wrap. What a load of waste that gets dumped.  It would be better if they were easy to fix if they did break. Often it's cheaper to buy a new appliance than it is to pay the engineer his fee to fix it!
